Boko Haram Suspect Sent back to Nigeria

Boko Haram has troubled Nigerian people and the government for years. The rebel group, which operates mostly in Northern Nigeria, is known for the abductions, assassinations, and bombings that it has carried out in many parts of the country.Boko Haram has always sought to fight until Nigeria becomes an Islamic state. In keeping with the violent confrontations with which it is known, the rebel group recently carried out twin bombings in Abuja, which led to the death of 75 people. The mastermind of the twin bombings mentioned above, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, then fled to Sudan where he has been in hiding ever since. Interpol then issued a warrant for his arrest. Aminu was then arrested in Khartoum in May 2014.

Thus far, Boko Haram has been responsible for the death of thousands of people in Nigeria. Although the group, which was founded in 2002, operates mostly in Northern Nigeria, the entire country is in a constant state of fear not knowing which part will be attacked next. When the Islamist group was founded, it’s first objectives was to oppose Western education. In fact, the Hausa meaning for the words Boko Haram is “Western education is forbidden”. The group’s objectives seem to have evolved with the passage of time.Nigerians have been wondering why the government is incapable or unwilling to arrest members of the Islamist group. Some people even believe that the group enjoys the backing of some very powerful people in Nigeria, thus cannot be destroyed.

The Palestinian Crisis Still On Rising

The air campaign assault from the Israeli military to Gaza had pushed the death toll this week to 175 casualties; they also downed a drone that was launched from Gaza by militants this Monday. Since the last Tuesday Israel has been in an offensive campaign against Hamas, saying that the airstrike is just to respond against the rocket fire that is launched from populated territory in the Gaza Strip. The military has informed that Palestinian militants have launched around 1.000 rockets to Israel, in the other hand the airstrike assault has launched more than 1.300 rockets already, there’s also no sign of a nearly cease to the fire for both sides. For Israel the use of unmanned drone was an unpredicted tactic by Hamas, which has never said or claim that they own this kind of weapons. This kind of weapons shows a new face for the militant group. Israel has experience dealing with drones, in the past Israel downed another drone that was send from Lebanon by Hezbollah militants.
The Hamas’s drone was downed near the city of Ashdod by a Patriot surface-to-air missile during the mid-flight of the weapon. Speaking as anonymous a Senior Military Official said that Israel knows about the possession of drones by Hamas, and Israel has aimed drone facilities in Gaza in the past. Though he won’t say the results of that incursion.Hamas has made different statements to media in which they claimed that three drones were launched to Israel, though the military says that was a single one. Hamas also showed a video of an aircraft of five meters long that holds two unknown missiles on each wing. The video hasn’t been verified yet. It is known that drones are referred to a wide range of unmanned aircrafts, going from rudimentary to advance airplanes capable of making air strikes or undercover surveillance missions.
